The Test Center is located in the Learning Center Building, Room 522, on the Bellevue University Main Campus. We offer the following services:

  • Testing facilities for faculty and students of Bellevue University, both proctored and un-proctored
  • NCTA-approved testing facility individuals outside the Bellevue University system, both proctored and un-proctored
  • Pearson Vue Proctored Certification Testing
  • CLEP - Credit-by-Examination Testing
  • DSST- Credit-by-Examination Testing

What you need to know before taking a test

Bellevue University Students are only permitted to use books, notes, formula sheets, calculators, or any electronic device while taking an exam if authorized by their professor or as identified in the course syllabus. Individuals taking CLEP or DSST must adhere to the rules set by the issuing organization. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the requirements for your test before you take it.

  • A test is considered complete if you leave the Test Center for any reason.
  • If taking a computer test, only permitted windows and applications may be open.
  • If your test is timed, Test Center staff will monitor your testing time.
  • Only Test Center provided erasers, pencils, pens, and scratch paper may be used.
  • If a book or notes are allowed, no marks will be made on them.
  • If a calculator is allowed, the cover and instructions will be removed.
  • Cell phones may not be used as a calculator – No Exceptions.

While using the Test Center, be prepared to place your personal items in a locker including items from the following list:

  • Cell phones and other electronic devices are not permitted and must be turned off in the Test Center (no sound or vibration allowed).
  • No earphones may be worn.
  • No watches of any type are permitted.
  • No hoodies of any type may be worn.
  • No food or drinks are permitted.

You must bring identification with you

You must present an official (government issued) I.D. which includes a picture, birth date, and signature. Driver's license, passport, or military I.D. are generally accepted.

You will not be allowed to take a test without proper identification.

Academic Honesty

Bellevue University is committed to academic excellence. We believe academic honesty from all Test Center customers is essential in achieving that objective.

We consider the following to be academically dishonest:

  • Not adhering to the guidelines established by the instructor for a particular exam.
  • Representing the work of others to be one's own.
  • Facilitating the dishonesty of others.
  • Copying from another person's test.
  • Using unauthorized materials.
  • Taking an examination for another or permitting another to take an exam for you.
  • Obtaining or providing test answers to another.
  • Removing or attempting to remove a test, any portion of it, or its answers from the Testing Center.

Consistent with Bellevue University's Academic Honor Code, individuals suspected of engaging in these behaviors will be referred to the Dean of Students and their instructor for appropriate disciplinary action. CLEP and DSST customers will be reported to the appropriate examination agency.

The Test Center adheres to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines to meet the growing needs of our students, faculty, administration, and community.
