These types of undergraduate scholarships can be renewed by students year-over-year for up to 5 years or until you earn a bachelor’s degree (whichever comes first). This means as long as you fulfill the scholarship eligibility requirements, you will be able to continually earn your scholarship through a simple renewal process. The University awards renewable scholarships based on a variety of factors including:

  • Academic criteria (maintaining a set minimum cumulative GPA)
  • Financial need
  • Participation in campus or community activities
  • Leadership

Bruin Advantage Scholarship (Renewable)

Up to $5,000 per year
— almost half of annual tuition for on campus students.

The Bruin Advantage is about who you are, what you want and need out of your college experience. More than anything, the Bruin Advantage is for you.

You’re eligible for the Bruin Advantage Scholarship as a graduating high school senior when you enroll for in-person classes.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Graduating high school seniors
  • Enroll and complete at least 3-credit hours on campus during each term of enrollment

All awards are reviewed and adjusted based on the student's enrollment each term they are enrolled. All students are required to earn a 2.5 GPA or higher after the conclusion of each academic year to remain on scholarship. If a student falls below the 2.5 GPA requirement they will be given an opportunity to submit an appeal for their scholarship. Students are only allowed one appeal over the life of their scholarship.

Bellevue University’s Nebraska Career Scholarship Opportunity (Renewable)

Students residing in Nebraska can qualify for up to $10,000 per academic year for specific programs.

The Nebraska legislature allocated money for scholarships for undergraduate students in high-demand fields to help fill critical workforce needs in the state of Nebraska. First-time Bellevue University students (freshman, transfer students and continuing Bellevue University students, who don't already hold a degree) who reside in Nebraska, can apply the Nebraska Career Scholarship for tuition, fees, required tools and equipment including books, on-campus room and board.

The scholarship is awarded for up to $10,000 per academic year (AY) and may be renewable each year, subject to eligibility requirements. Find out more about this amazing opportunity for certain degree fields!

Dream Scholarship

May be awarded to undergraduate students for up to 5 years or until a bachelor's degree is earned, whichever comes first.

Eligibility criteria:

  • U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, or eligible for Deferred Action
  • Residents of Nebraska or Iowa
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Pursuing first bachelor’s degree
  • Full-time enrollment (complete at least 8 credit hours for each term of enrollment, and for first-time first-year freshmen this includes a minimum of 3-credit hours completed on campus during each Fall, Winter and Spring term)

Eligibility criteria:

  • Residents of Nebraska or of Pottawattamie County, IA
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 or have earned a GED certificate with a score of 165 or higher or planning to enroll in the ESL program
  • U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, or eligible for Deferred Action
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Full-time enrollment: complete at least 8 credit hours for each term of enrollment

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be an on campus student (recipient must reside locally while receiving the scholarship)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Full-time enrollment: complete at least 8 credit hours for each term of enrollment
  • First-time first-year freshmen: minimum of 3-credit hours completed on campus during each Fall, Winter and Spring term
  • Approximate height of 5'8"- 6'
  • Physical capability of wearing the mascot suit for extended periods of time
  • Collegiate athletes are not eligible
  • Cannot be combined with other renewable scholarships

Bellevue Community Scholarship

May be awarded to undergraduate students for up to 4 years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever comes first.*

Bellevue University, in partnership with the Bellevue Public Schools Foundation, is proud to award two full tuition and fees scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Bellevue East High School and Bellevue West High School.

This scholarship provides two local high school students with notable potential in the classroom, active community engagement, or demonstrated perseverance through hardship, an opportunity to earn a four-year degree.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Applicant must be a graduating high school senior from Bellevue East or West High School
  • Final cumulative GPA of at least a 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (2.5 on a 5.0 scale)
  • Full-time enrollment (complete at least 8 credit hours each Fall, Winter, and Spring term, with a minimum of 3-credit hours on campus during each of those terms)

The Bellevue Community Scholarship covers tuition and fees for up to 12 credit hours per term.

*Please Note: Bellevue Community Scholarship recipients receive a very generous scholarship and therefore it may not be combined with other Bellevue University funded scholarships including any renewable scholarships; however, applicants can be considered for scholarships from other donors.

*Bellevue University student-athletes are not eligible for this scholarship.

Institute for Mexicans Abroad Scholarship

A Bellevue University scholarship in partnership with the Mexican Consulate.

Eligibility requirements:

  • U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, approved DACA recipients, undocumented students, or international students on an F1-Visa
  • Currently residing within the United States, in the state of Nebraska or state of Iowa
  • Pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's of Master's degree
  • Currently hold a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher for undergraduate students, or 2.5 or higher for graduate students
  • Candidates must be enrolled or planning to enroll for at least 3 credit hours to be eligible, and must be degree seeking

Quest Forward Academy Scholarship

Eligibility criteria:

  • Must be a graduate of Quest Forward Academy
  • U.S. Citizens, Legal Permanent Residents, or eligible for Deferred Action
  • Residents of Nebraska or Iowa
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrated financial need

Note that you need to have already applied to Bellevue University to get a log-in for the Community Force system to apply for scholarships, and, for some scholarships, you may need to submit the FAFSA or a Federal Aid Estimator and upload your transcripts.
